The saddle is built on full quarter horse bars. Remember you can always put a saddle pad under your horse if the saddle is wide but the horse narrow. Not a problem. But if the saddle is too narrow it will restrict the movement of the horse's shoulder and not be usable.

For women particularly the saddle should be narrow in the twist. The seat is shaped and padded to allow the rider to sit well in the saddle.
